Shine Bright like a Diamond

It's nearly time... 2 weeks to go to be exact and we know you have lots of parties to prepare for.

Thankfully we are here to provide some quick party tips for you to use during this party season.

Don't be afraid to take those bolder pieces for an outing.

Lace

Emily Blunt- Lavin Resort 2015                                  Lily Collins- Elie Saab Spring 2015

Lace dresses or lace anything in fact, never goes out of style, it's timeless and always a fail safe option when it comes to party wear.

The two examples above are rather risque ones with the use of the lazer cut-out shape, the dress plays with seduction combined with high sophistication; so it's perfect for those nights when your wanting your dress to do all the talking

We love the similarities and the differences in these gowns. Lily Collins is sporting a more youthful look with the cobalt blue Elie Saab gown and deep v cut with the addition of the laced cut out slits on the side of the bodice. Where-as Emily Blunt is still looking super glamorous, just a little more mellowed out with a more grown up teal shade Lanvin dress the new mum shows off her stunning figure with a pinned in waist and higher cut neck.

Both dresses graze the floor with a delicate pleated sheer skirt showing off both of their enviable figures.

                                  Elise Dress                                                              Charlotte Dress

We have some stunning options if you wanted to replicate a look like this. This Elise dress in a navy shade has lace arm paneling and is decorated with gold stars on the body with a train to complete the look you couldn't really get more red carpet than that! The Charlotte dress is a little more dress up with the fairy-tale feel of the tulle skirt and lace bodice you will be ready to shut that party down.

Sequins

Hilary Rhoda- Pamella Roland Pre-Fall 2014                      Olivia Palermo- Piper Lime

Sequins are always one of our favorite trends at Christmas, or anytime of the year in fact. You can always fit a sneaky sequin in somewhere. Once again we have two stunning party ready looks that can be worn in two entirely different ways. Hilary Rhoda has smashed  the red carpet a the Whitney Gala this year with a floor length gold heavily embellished strapless gown leaving it simple on the accessories front with just a pair of drop earrings. Olivia Palermo has gone in a different direction with a sequin skirt and still keeping a dressed up vibe with a two tone bronze jumper.

                                   Clarisse Dress                                                             Suzy Skirt

We have a number of different sequin looks but the Clarisse Dress is one of our favourites the rare cut and stunning outline makes it a real showstopper. With the pink satin lining you can be on that dance floor for hours. But if you wanted a more relaxed look but no less glamorous this stunning sequin skirt is your best pick, with a matching top as an option you can wear this skirt as many ways as you would like, with a baggy jumper to feel more relaxed or tuck in a baggy white t-shirt and your ready for a comfortable luxurious evening.

Sending you lots of holiday cheer.

High Drama, High Impact

We love pieces that say a thousand words or leave one speechless and looks like we are not the only ones.

With the party season hot on our tails it can be difficult to know how to pair certain statement pieces.

Here are our top tips on how to do so.

Lights, Camera, Action.

Get ready to hit center stage.

Olivia Munn's feather mini look was perfect for her recent trip to the ballet and is a chic modern twist on the much coveted Little Black Dress.

Mixing her fun loving dress with the juxtaposed effect of a sleek bun she gives a unique take on her red carpet look.

By mixing textures and styles she has taken this Lavin runway look to another level ultimately becoming one of the most coveted looks on the red carpet.

You can recreate the stunning Magic Mike star's look here

Using mix and match pieces is an easy solution to avoid feeling overwhelmed or uncomfortable in your statement looks.

Pull one statement item and keep the rest simple.

All That Glitters

Everything in moderation.

The incredible model Jourdan Dunn shows off her figure in this one of a kind Burberry Resort Collection skirt paired with a simple navy peplum jacket at the Burberry Art of The Trench party.

At One Vintage you can feel just as special as Jourdan Dunn with our one of a kind sequin skirt.

This look is perfect for the upcoming party season, taking a look from day to night with a mix of different patterns and shapes.

Pairing a statement skirt like this one with a plain t-shirt is a great way to take your look to the next level and is easily achievable.

If you want to start off your day in a more suitable/casual attire you can start with a simple tee and jean combination then when the party mood strikes whip out your statement piece to blow your fellow guests away.
